Communities throughout ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø are commemorating Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19 to honor the emancipation of the last enslaved people in the U.S. in Galveston, Texas.

The nation marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 20, but events across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will honor the civil rights leader throughout the month of January.
